Simba International School Parent Teachers Association (PTA) serves the school on a voluntary basis and organises fundraising activities throughout the year. Parent participation plays a vital role in the success of Simba International School. Not only does it enable our PTA to raise much needed funds, but it also builds on and reflects Simba's strong sense of community. The positive and lively spirit of these involved parents, lifts us all – teachers, learners and parents alike.

Beyond major fundraising events, parents regularly help in the school uniform sale shop. I urge parents to join in this rewarding school community and in so doing to contribute to the success of their children and the school.

During the 2021-22 academic year, the PTA successfully hosted a ZASU Swimming Gala which attracted over 12 swimming clubs from Lusaka, Copperbelt and North Western Provinces. It also sponsored the Secondary School Quiz and financed the repair Secondary School lockers. Looking forward, we plan financing the construction of a modern Primary School playground.

The fireworks display is one event on our calendar which became an annual tradition and was always widely anticipated and great fun until it was disrupted 2 years ago due to Covid-19 restrictions. I am glad to announce that we plan holding this event in October this year subject to the prevailing health guidelines at that time. This event involves not only the children and their families, but also the wider Ndola community.

We welcome all parents and guardians to become active parents. The success of Simba International School is greatly dependent on the support and care provided through the community.
