A Diary of Memories video
As we come to the end of another school year, we would like to extend our sincere gratitude to all the staff for their tireless efforts over the last academic year.
Thank you to all parents and guardians for helping your children with their schoolwork. Working together positively strengthens our school community, and we will continue to build on this in the new academic year.
It has been very enjoyable to be able to open up the school to you, and it has been lovely to see so many of you during different school activities. We hope to get back to doing much more of this with you in the new academic year.

SIMBA PRIMARY SCHOOL
Your child will develop to the maximum potential.
SIMBA PRIMARY CLASSES
Discover the unique educational experience that awaits your child at Simba Primary School. We offer an extensive variety of programmes and opportunities that few other schools in Zambia provide. The uniqueness of Simba lies in our expectation that your child will develop to the maximum of his or her potential, and acquire the strategies required for success.
Simba’s primary classes will broaden your child’s knowledge base and decision-making skills; he or she will develop leadership skills and self-confidence through positive interaction with other students, teachers and ancillary staff and learn respect and appreciation for education through our values based programme. In the words of Edward de Bono: “The future well-being of the world is going to require good thinking.” We intend to provide your child with the necessary tools to participate in tomorrow’s ever-changing multi-cultural society.
LOWER PRIMARY DEPARTMENT
Children are accepted into the Lower Primary Department between five and eight years of age. Classrooms are large and airy and the children have their own playground, which is designed with wooden outdoor adventure equipment to develop their coordination skills.
Classes are teacher-based, and provide a solid foundation in English, reading, handwriting, mathematics, science, history and geography. In addition to these challenging core subjects, Simba students also benefit from specialist teachers for music, physical education and swimming, ICT, Design Technology and French.
Each class visits the well-stocked school library on a weekly basis, in addition to a daily borrowing facility from the class book corner.
We provide our children with an environment in which they can be stimulated to develop their own capabilities to their fullest potential, and to ensure that these children are well-prepared for subsequent stages of academic development anywhere in the world.
Adventure and Learning – The Simba Way!
At Simba International School Primary, outdoor adventure is more than just a trip—it’s a tradition that sparks curiosity, builds confidence, and inspires a lifelong love for learning. Each year, our students step beyond the classroom to take part in exciting hands‑on experiences designed to challenge both body and mind.
From conquering climbing towers to navigating waterways, from problem‑solving challenges to team‑building games, every activity is an opportunity for our learners to discover their strengths, support their peers, and develop valuable life skills. These adventures nurture leadership, resilience, and compassion, while also deepening their appreciation for nature and the world around them.
For our Simba students, outdoor education is a journey of growth, friendship, and unforgettable memories—year after year.
UPPER PRIMARY DEPARTMENT
In the Upper Primary class teachers are responsible for the teaching of mathematics, English, science and social studies. Specialist teachers offer tuition in French, physical education and swimming, ICT, music, food science, needlecraft, PSHRE, and library (including the teaching of research skills).
Educational visits and talks by local and visiting personalities are a regular feature of school life. Participation in art and drama competitions plays an equally important role and school productions are always something to look forward to.
All children are regularly assessed. Parents receive progress reports based both on teachers’ observations and written examinations, twice a year.
